APRIL
The legendary Steve Miller Band, with opening act Gregg Allman, kicked off our summer concerts this season on April 20th. It was a magical "Abracadabra" spring night and it was great to have these two classic artists together on one stage!
APRIL Great Grapes Wine Festival returned for the 5th year to Booth Amphitheatre.
On April 23rd over 5,000 wine lovers canvassed the venue tasting wine developed right here in North Carolina. Needless to say....fun was had by all!
JUNE - JULY
This year the NC Symphony Summerfest series had something for everyone - Swan Lake, Music of Paul McCartney, Pirates and everything in between. Each Saturday in June and July patrons picnicked on the lawn and enjoyed the sights and sounds of the NC Symphony and an occasional fireworks display!
JULY Boz Scaggs and Michael McDonald joined us this summer on July 15th for a classic night of rock. The weather was hot and so was the show! Boz had everyone doing the "Lido Shuffle" and Michael reminded us all why "Yah Mo B There"!
JULY
Our Sound of Music Sing-A-Long on July 22 was such a hit it is sure to be an annual tradition! This fun filled family event was packed with costumes, singing and cheering as patrons were encouraged to interact along with the movie.
AUGUST
The return of Bluegrass legend Alison Krauss & Union Station to Koka Booth Amphitheatre on August 11th did not disappoint excited fans. The spectacular summer show featured Jerry Douglas and special guest Dawes opened the show.
SEPTEMBER
Singer songwriter, Ray LaMontagne and the Pariah Dogs, hit the stage on September 19th after The Secret Sisters and Brandi Carlile. The entire evening was filled with great music and good times and when Ray played "Trouble" the fans all sang along.
